Bahar Biller (PhD'2002), currently assistant
professor of manufacturing and operations management at the Tepper
School of Business of Carnegie Mellon University, has won two honors.
First, she received a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists
and Engineers (PECASE) from NSF. She was one of a select group of 20
young reserachers who won the NSF CAREER award in 2006. Second, she has
been appointed to Estella Loomis McCandless Professorship at the Tepper
School of Business. Congratulations to Bahar!
Jonathan Owen (M.S. 1993, Ph.D. 1998) has been selected by the Society of
Manufacturing Engineers to receive its Outstanding Young Manufacturing
Engineer Award in 2007.
