225: Principles of Entrepreneurship

Description

The Principles of Entrepreneurship introduces the essential elements of building one's own business, from brainstorming ideas and assessing opportunities to pitching a business idea. We will explore the history of entrepreneurship and the entrepreneur psyche. The class will cover business plan fundamentals, including strategy, finance, accounting, marketing, operations, and choosing the ideal management team. The final deliverable will be an elevator pitch of a new business idea. Lectures, guest speakers, and case studies.

Prerequisites

Please Note:  IEMS majors who have already taken IEMS 325 can receive NO credit for this course.
