The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) serves the scientific and professional needs of OR/MS investigators, scientists, students, educators, and managers, as well as the institutions they serve, by publishing a variety of journals that describe the latest OR/MS methods and applications and by organizing professional conferences. The Institute also serves as a focal point for OR/MS professionals, permitting them to communicate with each other and to reach out to other professional societies and to the varied clientele of the profession's research and practice.

IIE provides leadership in developing industrial engineering; enhancing the capabilities of those who are involved in or manage the application, education, training, research or development of industrial engineering; and, in representing the industrial engineering profession.

Society of Manufacturing Engineers

SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers), headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan, U.S.A., is an international professional society dedicated to serving its members and the manufacturing community through the advancement of professionalism, knowledge, and learning. Founded in 1932, SME has nearly 70,000 members in 70 countries. The society also sponsors some 275 chapters, districts, and regions, as well as 240 student chapters worldwide

Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals

Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals is a not-for-profit organization of business personnel who are interested in leading the evolving Supply Chain Management profession by developing, advancing, and disseminating Supply Chain knowledge and research.

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) was founded in Los Angeles, California, in 1974 by a group of engineers employed by the City of Los Angeles. Their objective was to form a national organization of professional engineers to serve as role models in the Hispanic community. The concept of Networking was the key basis for the organization. SHPE quickly established two student chapters to begin the network that would grow to encompass the nation as well as reach countries outside the United States. Today, SHPE enjoys a strong but independent network of professional and student chapters throughout the nation.

The National Society of Black Engineers

With more than 10,000 members, NSBE is the largest student-managed organization in the country. NSBE's mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community. NSBE is comprised of more than 250 chapters on college and university campuses and more than 50 Alumni Extension chapters nation wide.

The Society of Women Engineers

SWE's mission, which was adopted in 1986 is to stimulate women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders,eExpand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrate the value of diversity.

The National Engineering Honor Society

Founded in 1885 to mark in a fitting manner those who have conferred honor upon their alma mater by distinguished scholarship and exemplary character as undergraduates in engineering, or by their attainments as alumni in the field of engineering, and to foster a spirit of liberal culture in engineering colleges.

The National Society of Professional Engineers

 The National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) is the only engineering society that represents individual engineering professionals and licensed engineers (PEs) across all disciplines. Founded in 1934, NSPE strengthens the engineering profession by promoting engineering licensure and ethics, enhancing the engineer image, advocating and protecting PEs' legal rights at the national and state levels, publishing news of the profession, providing continuing education opportunities, and much more. NSPE serves some 60,000 members and the public through 54 state and territorial societies and more than 500 chapters.
